Teodoro Lamberto kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Nueva Chicago's Fausto Guter got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 minutes of play, Nueva Chicago's Ciro Mino made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juarês Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cleto Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Teles in the 15th minute of play. Róbson Marquez hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Juarês Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juarês Maciel made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Fausto Guter sent off a good shot on target. If Alexsandro Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexsandro Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Nueva Chicago booed when INTERNACIONAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Zé Carlos Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juarês Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Lamberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Zé Pedro Hermes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Hugo Ofelio kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Hector Mogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Noel Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Ciro Mino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nueva Chicago fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to INTERNACIONAL getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Zé Carlos Koehler hit a great ball. Teodoro Lamberto struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Juarês Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Chicago. Juarês Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Mino in the 86th minute of play. Juarês Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Guter in the 87th minute of the match. Diogo Senna charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Senna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL's Diogo Senna got a free kick in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Mino in the 92nd minute of play forced INTERNACIONAL's goalkeeper Juarês Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Guter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Nueva Chicago were the better team. Nueva Chicago's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
