Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Mino to make the kick off. Ferdinand Schlegel made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adib Ovi immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Hector Mogel got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Cleto Telesforo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adib Ovi's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Adib Ovi came free, but Cleto Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adib Ovi in the 79th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Cleto Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Borussia Dortmund players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
