Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Odín Eye sent off a good shot on target. Eric Hustad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Meesters scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eric Hustad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eric Hustad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes HANKOOK TIRE MIT FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Eric Hustad however easily saved by the left post. Eric Hustad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Eric Hustad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mihály Puja's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihály Puja helped the player get up and apologised. 92 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eric Hustad. HANKOOK TIRE MIT FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Adrián Zentay hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HANKOOK TIRE MIT FC.
