Jonatan Cordarell came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba. But to his dismay, Anaia Barba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 8 minutes, Anaia Barba made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Jonatan Cordarell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anaia Barba kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaia Barba in the 16th minute of play forced Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Jonatan Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Pepillo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Jonatan Cordarell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 18th minute of the match. Edson Recife scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Cordarell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anaia Barba scored 0-4 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Cordarell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Gloria Verdinegra AFC's zone, Anaia Barba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Cordarell came out of the goal and Anaia Barba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Recife in the 30th minute of play forced Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Jonatan Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Ronaldinho Romero made a precise shot to the right of Jonatan Cordarell. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 36 minutes, Edson Recife mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexilhão F. C. and the Gloria Verdinegra AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mexilhão F. C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Edson Recife hit a great ball. Edson Recife scored 0-6 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Cordarell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Angelino Xabel got a free kick in the 40th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Anaia Barba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonatan Cordarell. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anaia Barba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After the first half Mexilhão F. C. were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Berasko made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Anaia Barba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonatan Cordarell. Anaia Barba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Serafino Herena kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonatan Cordarell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Jonatan Cordarell was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Edson Recife capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edson Recife really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexilhão F. C.'s Edson Recife slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonatan Cordarell. That made the score 0-11 after 65 minutes of play. Jonatan Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anaia Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-13 when Edson Recife sped through Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonatan Cordarell. Jonatan Cordarell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 80th minute of play. If Eulalio Berasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Cordarell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anaia Barba went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-14 was the resulting score. When Angelino Xabel fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gloria Verdinegra AFC's protests and gave Angelino Xabel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Gloria Verdinegra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Xabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Mexilhão F. C.'s Edson Recife dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-15. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mexilhão F. C.'s Anaia Barba in the 94th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jonatan Cordarell was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Gloria Verdinegra AFC through an amazing save. When the match was over Mexilhão F. C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gloria Verdinegra AFC throughout the match.
