The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonatan Cordarell came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by 1947 FC's Alejo Idacio. But to his dismay, Alejo Idacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alejo Idacio scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Cordarell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonatan Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Mlekodaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Alejo Idacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1947 FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Jonatan Cordarell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrzej Mlekodaj went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Idacio came free, but Jonatan Cordarell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Idacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Alejo Idacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Cordarell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1947 FC's Alejo Idacio got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 32 minutes of play, 1947 FC's Andrzej Mlekodaj made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonatan Cordarell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alejo Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Cordarell having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Alejo Idacio made a precise shot to the right of Jonatan Cordarell. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Andrzej Mlekodaj put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Jonatan Cordarell. Alejo Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Cordarell having to interfere. The Gloria Verdinegra AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 1947 FC were winning 0-10.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Idacio to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Martin Benat got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Alejo Idacio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-11 in the 53rd playminute. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Jonatan Cordarell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrzej Mlekodaj in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Berasko came free, but Brian Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Idacio came free, but Jonatan Cordarell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejo Idacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Cordarell having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrzej Mlekodaj in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonatan Cordarell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonatan Cordarell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Mlekodaj in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, 1947 FC's Andrzej Mlekodaj nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonatan Cordarell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-14. Jonatan Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Fasoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Horacio Iztal kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The 1947 FC fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when 1947 FC's Armando Fasoli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-15 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonatan Cordarell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Fasoli's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 1947 FC were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Gloria Verdinegra AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristobal Baumar took the corner. Paco Jertec made a great header on 1947 FC's corner, it was just that Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Jonatan Cordarell managed to reach the ball for a save. 88 minutes into the match, Armando Fasoli dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonatan Cordarell, 0-16. If Goren Baños had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Melchor Xacintu fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1947 FC's protests and gave Melchor Xacintu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gloria Verdinegra AFC booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Xacintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Lizar kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. 1947 FC played a much better game than Gloria Verdinegra AFC and deserved their victory. The Gloria Verdinegra AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
