The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gianluigi Orange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 6th minute of the match. The throw-in from Alberto Estevon in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Coice de Mula's Norbert Kosowski. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes Grêmio FBPA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norbert Kosowski who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Kiko Fonseca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu Guimarães in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute of the game Douglas Falcão made a throw-in which Abram Cadabra played forward. In the 29th minute, Norbert Kosowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pipis Karapatakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Gianluigi Orange made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin in the 40th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Coice de Mula booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Estevon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Diamantino Cabral got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin to make the kick off. Jardel Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin got free with Jardel Sanches in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jardel Sanches. The goal made the score 2-1. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin scored 2-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel Sanches, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Coice de Mula made a substitution. Ernesto Moraes replaced Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin. Douglas Falcão made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Abram Cadabra however managed to control. Ernesto Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jardel Sanches having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Moraes. Jardel Sanches was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Moraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 87 minute of play. Grêmio FBPA made a substitution. Eriberto Berger replaced Nestor Leão. Jardel Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Oskar Kihlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Coice de Mula walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
