The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pipis Karapatakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alfred Kochowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grêmio FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alberto Estevon in the 15th minute. Grêmio FBPA's Alberto Estevon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alfred Kochowski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pipis Karapatakis in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Kochowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, United Legends's Luciano Bastiaro got a free kick in the 18th minute. Pipis Karapatakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Kochowski having to interfere. A collision led to United Legends getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Octavio Machado hit a great ball. In the 23rd match minute, United Legends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar-Alfredo Ruggeri to maneuver through the defense. Grêmio FBPA's Alberto Estevon got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when United Legends was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pipis Karapatakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Kochowski having to interfere. In the 30th minute Luciano Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. United Legends's Alfred Kochowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid de Sena in the 35th minute of play. Alfred Kochowski came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Deivid de Sena. But to his dismay, Deivid de Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alfred Kochowski made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Pipis Karapatakis sent off a good shot on target. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by United Legends's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Estevon was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio FBPA's players had a chance to rest. In the 45thth minute of the game Pipis Karapatakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but United Legends's Alfred Kochowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Onbera in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pipis Karapatakis was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Edelmiro Onbera in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio FBPA's Diamantino Cabral. Alfred Kochowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pipis Karapatakis went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alfred Kochowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye United Legends's goalie prevented a goal. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Octavio Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Pipis Karapatakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio FBPA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 75 minutes into the match, United Legends's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Karapatakis came free, but Alfred Kochowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Octavio Machado threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grêmio FBPA's Kaká Rot quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jardel Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Filiph Biörling notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of United Legends's Alfred Kochowski. Alfred Kochowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Octavio Machado in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio FBPA's Kaká Rot. Alfred Kochowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th match minute, United Legends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Machado to maneuver through the defense. Filiph Biörling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deivid de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Kochowski having to interfere.
