SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Dracena in the 3rd minute of play. SAO JOANENSE FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Eduardo Toledo in the 6th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Luisinho Netto to score against Denis Gilabert in AL TOKE FC's goal. 0-1 after 6 minutes. Carlos Eduardo Toledo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denis Gilabert. AL TOKE FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Amadeu Lamego managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when AL TOKE FC's Remo Dracena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 13 in the game by Remo Dracena from a close distance when the talented Amadeu Lamego managed to make a qualified save. SAO JOANENSE FC's players were relieved. Remo Dracena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Amadeu Lamego skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Remo Dracena in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Lamego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save SAO JOANENSE FC from getting a goal against them. Amadeu Lamego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo Dracena's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Remo Dracena put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeu Lamego. In the 24th of the match, Evelio Blasi tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Amadeu Lamego got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 27th minute of the match AL TOKE FC got a corner. SAO JOANENSE FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Remo Dracena ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on AL TOKE FC's corner Jean-Paul van der Leegte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amadeu Lamego quite easily take care of the ball. AL TOKE FC were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after SAO JOANENSE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Remo Dracena took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Remo Dracena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amadeu Lamego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 29 minutes, Jean-Paul van der Leegte made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Alessandro Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Dracena came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo Dracena might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Lamego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remo Dracena ran back to his position shaking his head. Amadeu Lamego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remo Dracena in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute, Alessandro Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a rather tough play, SAO JOANENSE FC's Carlos Esteves got a free kick in the 45th minute. Zeledon Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Dante to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Blasi in the 51st minute of the match. Remo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luisinho Netto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Denis Gilabert skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Denis Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo Dracena might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Lamego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remo Dracena ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute Remo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horácio Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Denis Gilabert made a huge save. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Dracena in the 71st minute of play. With an all-out effort, SAO JOANENSE FC's Denis Gilabert threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jairo Dante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 74 played minutes AL TOKE FC got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Shepherd. Amadeu Lamego came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by AL TOKE FC's Remo Dracena. But to his dismay, Remo Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Remo Dracena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeu Lamego having to make a save. In the 83rd minute Remo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessandro Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Shepherd hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AL TOKE FC's Bonifacio Shepherd got a free kick in the 88th minute. Remo Dracena spun around in front of the goal 94 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SAO JOANENSE FC's goal. AL TOKE FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
