The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariusz Rykaczewski got free with Rony Zanette in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Caborredondo made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nonatos United's Ademir Maciel. Rony Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariusz Rykaczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Cefero in the 9th minute of play. Nonatos United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Nonatos United got a corner. C.A. GUAYACO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Oso Amezaga came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Nonatos United's Angelo Cefero. But to his dismay, Angelo Cefero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nonatos United's Rony Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Silveira in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute Angelo Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Amezaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nonatos United's Rony Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Silveira in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Caicedo Berrondo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rony Zanette. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 34th minute Caicedo Berrondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nonatos United's João Pedro de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Angelo Cefero made a precise shot to the right of Oso Amezaga. C.A. GUAYACO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 42nd minute Angelo Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Amezaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes C.A. GUAYACO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri who took care of the corner kick. Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri made a great header on Nonatos United's corner, it was just that C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga managed to reach the ball for a save. Oso Amezaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Cefero in the 46th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Nonatos United's Angelo Cefero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oso Amezaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After the first half Nonatos United were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caicedo Berrondo to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Nonatos United's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Silveira came free, but Rony Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nonatos United's attentive Jerzy Giejda managed to snatch the ball when Váldson Macedo made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. Oso Amezaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Cefero in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Amezaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save C.A. GUAYACO from getting a goal against them. Batista Fuica charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Batista Fuica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Batista Fuica hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. GUAYACO from getting a goal against them. Angelo Cefero had several of the C.A. GUAYACO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Oso Amezaga as he didn't even see the shot coming. Nonatos United's Téo da Silva was substituted for Angelo Cefero. In the 76th minute, Caicedo Berrondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A. GUAYACO's Walme Saucedo was substituted for Mariusz Rykaczewski. C.A. GUAYACO's Marcelo Abastas was substituted for Caicedo Berrondo. C.A. GUAYACO made a substitution. Virgilio Canton replaced Maximo León. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. GUAYACO from getting a goal against them. Téo da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Oso Amezaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Téo da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Oso Amezaga made a huge save. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo da Silva in the 88th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Jerzy Giejda. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nonatos United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
