The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 8th minute, Vila Industrial FC's Hugon Pilitowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raul Zoff. Raul Zoff yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. América-SC F.C.'s Raul Zoff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save América-SC F.C. from getting a goal against them. Hugon Pilitowski in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raul Zoff, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hugon Pilitowskis short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Raul Zoff to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 19th minute of the match Vila Industrial FC got a corner. América-SC F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Cibran ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Roberto Cibran almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but América-SC F.C.'s Raul Zoff did a great save. In the 21st match minute, Vila Industrial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Leonov to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Hugon Pilitowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Industrial FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugon Pilitowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Zoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's Hugon Pilitowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Zoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the América-SC F.C. defense, Hugon Pilitowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Zoff. The América-SC F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Zoff should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Hugon Pilitowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raul Zoff. The goal made the score 5-0. The supporters of América-SC F.C. booed when Vila Industrial FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's Hugon Pilitowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Zoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

América-SC F.C.'s Raul Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugon Pilitowski in the 54th minute of play. Carlos Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rafael Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Zoff was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Rafael Leão put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Raul Zoff. If Hugon Pilitowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raul Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugon Pilitowski in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Hugon Pilitowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. América-SC F.C.'s Washington Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. César Boldrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Zoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugon Pilitowski went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the match, Hugon Pilitowski notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of América-SC F.C.'s Raul Zoff. Raul Zoff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Hugon Pilitowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Zoff was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Raul Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugon Pilitowski in the 84th minute of the match. Raul Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugon Pilitowski in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in América-SC F.C.'s zone, Hugon Pilitowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Zoff came out of the goal and Hugon Pilitowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Hugon Pilitowski sped through América-SC F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raul Zoff. After a defensive mix-up in América-SC F.C.'s zone, Hugon Pilitowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Zoff came out of the goal and Hugon Pilitowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini got control of the ball when Washington Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vila Industrial FC had won after a very even match.
