GUAYACO getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Maximo León hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Washington Bezerra got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sérgio Silveira took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Zoff. Raul Zoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Henrique in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes América-SC F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Travassos. Raul Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caicedo Berrondo in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match C.A. GUAYACO got a corner. América-SC F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gomez Berrahondo ran over to the corner to take the kick. C.A. GUAYACO's Gomez Berrahondo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raul Zoff in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Luís Henrique had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Caicedo Berrondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oso Amezaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jaime Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Oso Amezaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oso Amezaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Henrique in the 34th minute of the match. Raul Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Silveira in the 40th minute of play. Gomez Berrahondo, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Frederico Melo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

57 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Souza. When %teams%'s Jaime Souza was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 63 minutes into the game. Oso Amezaga was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Washington Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oso Amezaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. When Jorge Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. GUAYACO's protests and gave Jorge Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Bezerra in the 78th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Elivélton de Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the América-SC F.C. and the C.A. GUAYACO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes América-SC F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton de Castro. C.A. GUAYACO made a substitution. Marcelo Abastas replaced Caicedo Berrondo. C.A. GUAYACO's Walme Saucedo was substituted for Mariusz Rykaczewski. 89 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Abastas came free, but Raul Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The América-SC F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented C.A. GUAYACO from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
