Oséias Palmeira took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oso Amezaga. Oso Amezaga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 7th minute, Oséias Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oso Amezaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Oso Amezaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oséias Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Rodrigo Caborredondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Oséias Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Dortmund MZB's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oso Amezaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Caicedo Berrondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oséias Palmeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oso Amezaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. C.A. GUAYACO were furious when Joao Hincapié was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of C.A. GUAYACO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Borussia Dortmund MZB:s goal. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Borussia Dortmund MZB. Luis Blasi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oso Amezaga. 0-3. Rodrigo Caborredondo made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Dedé Maldini. 35 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Oséias Palmeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 41st minute of the match Luis Blasi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oso Amezaga skillfully saved the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Rodrigo Caborredondo in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Dedé Maldini. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oséias Palmeira in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oso Amezaga saved C.A. GUAYACO from getting behind. Guga Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fabiano Leão made a kick off. The throw-in from Rodrigo Caborredondo in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Dedé Maldini. Rodrigo Caborredondo made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Batista Fuica however managed to control. A nice corner shot did that Luis Blasi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oso Amezaga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Rodrigo Caborredondo with Agustin Pillado as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Borussia Dortmund MZB's LeBron Naldo was substituted for Luís Fabiano Leão. In the 71st minute Borussia Dortmund MZB were awarded a corner. Luis Blasi went to the cornerflag to take it. Luis Blasi made a great header on Borussia Dortmund MZB's corner, it was just that C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga managed to reach the ball for a save. C.A. GUAYACO's Walme Saucedo was substituted for Mariusz Rykaczewski. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Pernambucano in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. GUAYACO from getting behind. 87 minutes into the game, Gernando Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Oso Amezaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Borussia Dortmund MZB's LeBron Naldo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9.
