In the 36th minute, Silverio Calvet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejo Frichoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Gantenbein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Polad Bastia kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejo Frichoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Faro querandi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Gilesindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Frichoso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dominic Ott. Alejo Frichoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronny Gantenbein in the 78th minute. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Faro querandi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Faro querandi's Alejo Frichoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Ronny Gantenbein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Gantenbein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Faro querandi's Alejo Frichoso got control of the ball when Ronny Gantenbein tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Borussia Dortmund left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Faro querandi.
