A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lazcano Mendez hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Eustaquio Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lazcano Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on CD Boiro's corner Eustaquio Turi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remigio Valerón quite easily take care of the ball. Demario Cuadrado might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Valerón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Demario Cuadrado ran back to his position shaking his head. Demario Cuadrado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Valerón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After 16 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Reyes. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Remigio Valerón successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demario Cuadrado in the 20th minute of play. Perico Raya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakes Vila, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Remigio Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Turi in the 27th minute of the match. CD Boiro's Perico Raya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakes Vila in the 30th minute of play. Eustaquio Turi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Remigio Valerón when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's zone, Demario Cuadrado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Valerón came out of the goal and Demario Cuadrado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Turi in the 35th minute of play. Remigio Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Turi in the 39th minute of play. When Amadeo Lara fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's protests and gave Amadeo Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Lara. Remigio Valerón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Figari in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jakes Vila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amadeo Lara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Perico Raya firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Turi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Valerón was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. CD Boiro's Perico Raya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save CD Boiro from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Jakes Vila took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Perico Raya to make any attempt to save it. Remigio Valerón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Figari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Valerón came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Boiro's Edgar Figari. But to his dismay, Edgar Figari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Turi in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Valerón saved ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting behind. Andoitz Arias made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Edgar Figari however managed to control. Ion Fernandez's late challenge caught a ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Fernandez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CD Boiro getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ion Fernandez hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, CD Boiro's goalkeeper Perico Raya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Escobar. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after CD Boiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amadeo Lara took the corner. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Amadeo Lara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Perico Raya in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Turi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Valerón was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. CD Boiro's Ferdinand Paz was substituted for Demario Cuadrado. CD Boiro's Alf Zachrisson was substituted for Steve Mur. CD Boiro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
