The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The corner ended in Lesardo Alavedra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s Andres Salan did a great save. The supporters of !Pabellon Ourense C.F. booed when Deportivo Alavés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergi Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Bela Rojas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nils-Åke Andreasson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lesardo Alavedra scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andres Salan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andres Salan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lesardo Alavedra, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s goalkeeper Andres Salan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lesardo Alavedra. Deportivo Alavés's Nils-Åke Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bermudo Domingo in the 28th minute of play. If Lesardo Alavedra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lesardo Alavedra kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s goalkeeper Andres Salan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vincent Solera kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Deportivo Alavés got a freekick which was hit by Amador Urbasa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lesardo Alavedra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vincent Solera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Salan having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Sergi Gómez notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s Andres Salan. Andres Salan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andres Salan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Solera in the 57th minute of play. Amador Urbasa hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to Deportivo Alavés getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vincent Solera hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Lesardo Alavedra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andres Salan was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After having played for 69 minutes, Vincent Solera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Alavés's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Solera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Alcantara kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s zone, Vincent Solera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Salan came out of the goal and Vincent Solera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils-Åke Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Ortiz in the 74th minute of play. The throw-in from Jaizki Nafría in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Alavés's Wiggo Wipp. 76 minutes into the match, Lesardo Alavedra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andres Salan. !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lesardo Alavedra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 80 minutes into the game, Deportivo Alavés's Vincent Solera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andres Salan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 83 minutes into the match, Lesardo Alavedra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andres Salan. !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lesardo Alavedra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 87 minutes into the match, !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lesardo Alavedra came free, but Andres Salan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Solera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Salan having to interfere. A collision led to !Pabellon Ourense C.F. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Peio Saavedra hit a great ball. Deportivo Alavés walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
