With an all-out effort, Los once leones Ourense's Garibaldo Quijana threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pablo-Enrique Alabern, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Garibaldo Quijana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Cacheres's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelacio Campomanes in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Fillos de Breogán booed when Los once leones Ourense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcio Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes, Fillos de Breogán's Gelacio Campomanes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Albano Unzueta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fillos de Breogán reached it. In the 15th minute Dabi Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garibaldo Quijana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garibaldo Quijana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 16th minute of play. Albano Unzueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orti Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Orti Sánchez took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albano Unzueta. Albano Unzueta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 21st minute of the match, Nereo Cacheres got a very nice opportunity to score, but Garibaldo Quijana was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Garibaldo Quijana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dabi Vila in the 24th minute of the match. Fillos de Breogán's Garibaldo Quijana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dabi Vila in the 26th minute of play. Albano Unzueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calisto Abril, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Fillos de Breogán's Waldemar Olszewski got a free kick in the 28th minute. Garibaldo Quijana was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Raúl Ramis. 31 minutes into the match, Fillos de Breogán's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Vila came free, but Garibaldo Quijana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fillos de Breogán's Garibaldo Quijana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dabi Vila in the 32nd minute of play. Albano Unzueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calisto Abril, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Xabat Armada's late challenge caught a Los once leones Ourense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xabat Armada helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Fillos de Breogán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xabat Armada to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orti Sánchez to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Pablo-Enrique Alabern mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los once leones Ourense and the Fillos de Breogán players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pablo-Enrique Alabern hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Domeka Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Unzueta having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dabi Vila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garibaldo Quijana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garibaldo Quijana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ponc Caballero hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Domeka Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fillos de Breogán would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
