Pepe Toxeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The Real Club Celta de Vigo fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Renato Tapia struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Frederico Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Club Celta de Vigo. After a rather tough play, !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s Eladio Borrás got a free kick in the 27th minute. Nesor Millán took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Luciano Unzueta managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Renato Tapia scored 1-6 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederico Gaspar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Ye Xiang took a quick shot and it went in 2-6 without a chance for Pepe Toxeiro to make any attempt to save it. Frederico Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renato Tapia went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. After the first half Real Club Celta de Vigo were leading 2-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Tapia to make the kick off. When Ye Xiang came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the !Pabellon Ourense C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ye Xiang couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s zone, Renato Tapia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Gaspar came out of the goal and Renato Tapia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Elisardo Zabalo fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s protests and gave Elisardo Zabalo a yellow card for diving instead. Renato Tapia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederico Gaspar came out and tried to block the shot, but Renato Tapia slotted it home off the left post making it 2-8 in the 66th minute. That made the score 2-9 after 84 minutes of play. !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s Frederico Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Arias in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to !Pabellon Ourense C.F. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Elisardo Zabalo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Arias in the 91st minute of play forced !Pabellon Ourense C.F.'s goalkeeper Frederico Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Real Club Celta de Vigo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than !Pabellon Ourense C.F. throughout the match.
