In the 10th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Castelao to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Xesc Rallo came free, but Remigio Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Cristian Reyes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Xesc Rallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Remigio Valerón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Valines's late challenge caught a Riemannian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Valines helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Joel Valines got a free kick in the 24th minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xesc Rallo in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Lazcano Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Laerte Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valerio Quintanilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xesc Rallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Riemannian's Michael Riells quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Saverio Castelao, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Filomeno Camaño kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xesc Rallo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Xesc Rallo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Riemannian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xesc Rallo couldn't finish the play. In the 59th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Remigio Valerón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xesc Rallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Riemannian's Valerio Quintanilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Favoretto in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakes Vila got free with Valerio Quintanilla in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remigio Valerón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xesc Rallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xesc Rallo in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Riemannian's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Favoretto came free, but Valerio Quintanilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riemannian's Valerio Quintanilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Riemannian from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xesc Rallo in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Valerón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jakes Vila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beltran Tormes in the 88th minute of play. Riemannian's Valerio Quintanilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Escobar in the 92nd minute of play. Riemannian succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO had controlled the match.
