Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chris Nygaard started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Sport Club do Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Henrique Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Henrique Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. After 12 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Skou. After 13 played minutes, Sport Club do Recife's Matías Mota shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Keld Paulsen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Club do Recife reached it. Henrique Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 16th minute of play. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prata having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sport Club do Recife defense, Chris Nygaard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Prata. The Sport Club do Recife fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Prata should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertram Svenningsen in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Prata saved Sport Club do Recife from getting behind. After 37 minutes Denmark's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Márcio de Lara who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Márcio de Lara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keld Paulsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Keld Paulsen was a little too slow when Anselmo Moraes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Sport Club do Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Henrique Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Moraes to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrique Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Chris Nygaard sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sport Club do Recife's Henrique Prata didn't even have to move. 58 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Moraes came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Bendtsen kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Henrique Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Club do Recife's goalie prevented a goal. Chris Nygaards short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Henrique Prata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Henrique Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 84th minute of play. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrique Prata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. Dolfos Iscar kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Anselmo Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
