After a defensive mix-up in ZigZag Athletic's zone, Gabriel Távora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christer Söder came out of the goal and Gabriel Távora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 minutes of play ZigZag Athletic's Per-Olof Brolin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 22nd match minute, ZigZag Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Olof Brolin to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Robert Enke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christer Söder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Távora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ZigZag Athletic's Christer Söder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Távora in the 34th minute of play. Gabriel Távora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gabriel Távora sped through ZigZag Athletic's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christer Söder.

Christer Söder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Távora in the 53rd minute of the match. Christer Söder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Távora's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Terceirense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Nestor came free, but Robert Enke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Terceirense F.C. made a substitution. Anselmo Baldaia replaced Gabriel Távora. ZigZag Athletic made a substitution. Folke Bengtsson replaced Henrik Hedenskog. The supporters of Terceirense F.C. booed when ZigZag Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicki Nick didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ZigZag Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Söder should have stopped the shot. The Terceirense F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Terceirense F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
