The referee ignored CON-E-CO's protests and gave Urbano Cevallo a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristobal Hulberto got free with Demesio Galarreta in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Demesio Galarreta made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Lisandro López sent off a good shot on target. Adolfo Poz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Cayetano Behe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bras Velasco in the 16th minute of play. Deportivo Balvanera's Cayetano Behe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Bruñon in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bruno Bruñon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Behe was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Cayetano Behe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bras Velasco went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristobal Hulberto to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, CON-E-CO's Artaldo Longoria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cayetano Behe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the CON-E-CO defense, Diego Milito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demesio Galarreta. The CON-E-CO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demesio Galarreta should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Hulberto in the 56th minute of play forced CON-E-CO's goalkeeper Demesio Galarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demesio Galarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Hulberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Cristobal Hulberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demesio Galarreta was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Milito during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Diego Milito. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. The CON-E-CO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in CON-E-CO's zone, Marciano Koldobika stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demesio Galarreta came out of the goal and Marciano Koldobika tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Cayetano Behe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute of the match CON-E-CO got a corner. Deportivo Balvanera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Argider Lizundia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Argider Lizundia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Balvanera's Cayetano Behe did a great save. In the 86th match minute, CON-E-CO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argider Lizundia to maneuver through the defense. Demesio Galarreta came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Balvanera's Cristobal Hulberto. But to his dismay, Cristobal Hulberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4.
