Everardo Emesto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Marcelo Eufemio made a huge save. A collision led to Yupandú FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cristobal Quiroga hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Enaut. 13 minutes into the match, Yupandú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Aimar came free, but Astor Efren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Everardo Emesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yupandú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Emesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everardo Emestos short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Marcelo Eufemio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Racing Club【LBF】's Marcelo Eufemio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Frutos in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Everardo Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Eufemio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eloy Betadur was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lisandro Lopez was the one to do the kick off. Marcelo Eufemio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Emesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yupandú FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Racing Club【LBF】's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Isaac Illan took the corner. The corner ended in Isaac Illan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Racing Club【LBF】's Marcelo Eufemio did a great save. Lisandro Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Efren having to interfere. Marcelo Eufemio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shane Milligan's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Marcelino Enaut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Eufemio was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shane Milligan in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Eufemio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute, Racing Club【LBF】's Lucho Gonzales ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Astor Efren. Astor Efren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Racing Club【LBF】's Humberto Fidencio was substituted for Jaime Cordero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Milligan in the 95th minute of play forced Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Marcelo Eufemio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
