Americo Lluc's late challenge caught a Deportivo Balvanera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Lluc helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when Sportivo Luan Toro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severiano Taurino missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 49 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gustavo Campagnuolo right hand side.

Cayetano Behe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto-Doroteo Méndez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Diego Milito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Campagnuolo was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Sportivo Luan Toro's Gaspar Foro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jacinto Senon, made in the 82nd minute of the game. After 94 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Acuña. 96 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto-Doroteo Méndez came free, but Cayetano Behe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sportivo Luan Toro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
