Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The Obscurials's Anders Westerstrand started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Obscurials's Safet Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 4th minute of play. Nelson Wright's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Wright helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes The Obscurials got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Wright. Safet Hands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Obscurials's Safet Hands did a great save. Safet Hands stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nicasio Guillen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in The Obscurials's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Safet Hands came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Obscurials's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Safet Hands quite easily take care of the ball. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Adriano Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Adriano Ribeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnout Reekers firmly grabbed it by the left post. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Danton Keam was slow to take the kick. During this time The Obscurials's players had a chance to rest. The Obscurials's Danton Keam was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Safet Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Safet Hands having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Ribeiro in the 33rd minute of play. The Obscurials's Safet Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. The Obscurials's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Wim Wilmes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabastian Norman kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 45th minute, Gust Ennemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Safet Hands, 0-1. David Eikelkamp struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Safet Hands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. After 69 played minutes The Obscurials got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Tasso. The Obscurials's Cliff Rowden was substituted for Danton Keam. Walmir Tasso hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Safet Hands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Anders Westerstrand hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Safet Hands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Ribeiro in the 82nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th match minute, The Obscurials was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Sabastian Norman hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Wim Wilmes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Safet Hands. The goal made the score 0-2. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Lyle during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Obscurials fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! The Obscurials:s Safet Hands showed great skill when he stopped Gijsbert ter Kruimer:s penalty. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Obscurials throughout the match.
