In the 3rd minute, Alan Gorria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Gallos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Gorria. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano got control of the ball when Alan Gorria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Carlos Germano was a little too slow when Alan Gorria got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 3-0. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Gorria, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Alan Gorria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Carlos Germano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 29th minute of play forced Los Gallos's goalkeeper Jiří Kiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Gorria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Germano having to interfere. Carlos Germano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Gorria in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute Alan Gorria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Los Gallos's Alan Gorria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano got control of the ball when Alan Gorria tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Gorria got free with Carlos Germano in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Los Gallos booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Oskitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alan Gorria struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Carlos Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Berdoi to make the kick off. A collision led to Los Gallos getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Evelio Manzanedo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Gallos's goalkeeper Jiří Kiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Gallos's Alan Gorria got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Germano came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gallos's Alan Gorria. But to his dismay, Alan Gorria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Rosendo Cutberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosendo Cutberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jiří Kiss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Jaizki. Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold was substituted for Alan Gorria. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki got a free kick in the 67th minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Vladimiro Jerold sped through Club Atlético Atlanta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Germano. If Vladimiro Jerold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Vladimiro Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Gallos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Jerold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimiro Jerold took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. When Abel Iban fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Abel Iban a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Jerold in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Los Gallos were awarded a corner. Honorato Benvido went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Los Gallos's Honorato Benvido to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Germano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Jerold in the 91st minute of the match. Honorato Benvido charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Benvido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Rene Luzea replaced Abel Iban. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Honorato Benvido got a free kick in the 95th minute.
