The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agnaldo Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Bessone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Carlo Lattanzio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Centenario Bohemio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PEÇONHENTO FC MG the free kick. Agnaldo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Bessone having to interfere. In the 12th minute PEÇONHENTO FC MG were awarded a corner. Luan Silva went to the cornerflag to take it. Centenario Bohemio's Ignacio Bessone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Lopes in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Fontanini came free, but Vito Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Centenario Bohemio's Ignacio Bessone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Lopes in the 21st minute of play. When Juan Manuel Requena fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centenario Bohemio's protests and gave Juan Manuel Requena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Juan Manuel Requena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio Bessone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes of play, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Agnaldo Lopes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignacio Bessone was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute Agnaldo Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Bessone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luan Silva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ignacio Bessone in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 41st match minute, Centenario Bohemio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Agnaldo Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Bessone was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.
When Kevin Pavia fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centenario Bohemio's protests and gave Kevin Pavia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Kevin Pavia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luan Silva couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Centenario Bohemio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Lopes in the 55th minute of play forced Centenario Bohemio's goalkeeper Ignacio Bessone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agnaldo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Bessone having to interfere. Agnaldo Lopes scored 0-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacio Bessone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centenario Bohemio's goalkeeper Ignacio Bessone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Rob Halford was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ignacio Bessone in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Emilio Arias hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Centenario Bohemio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Agnaldo Lopes scored to the left of an out of position Ignacio Bessone, making the score, 0-3. In the 72nd minute, Mauro Fontanini made a precise shot to the right of Vito Furlan. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agnaldo Lopes got free with Ignacio Bessone in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th match minute, Centenario Bohemio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Arias to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centenario Bohemio's goalkeeper Ignacio Bessone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Lopes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ignacio Bessone, 1-4. The supporters of PEÇONHENTO FC MG booed when Centenario Bohemio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Maju didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Agnaldo Lopes took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Ignacio Bessone to make any attempt to save it. Emilio Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Centenario Bohemio getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Emilio Arias hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Centenario Bohemio defense, Agnaldo Lopes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacio Bessone. The Centenario Bohemio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Bessone should have stopped the shot. Oscar Laguna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PEÇONHENTO FC MG would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
