The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia got control of the ball when Alan Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Velcho Rolanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Catarinense in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmir Garcia during the 34th minute. After taking down the ball on Teresópolis F.C's corner Sandrinho Loyola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zé Sabóia quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Saiko FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
