The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fábio Barbosa during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thomás Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes FC Barrera 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Valério Xavier. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Barrera 2.0! After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Edinho Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barrera 2.0's supporters rose to their feet, but Edinho Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cido Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Carvalho in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás Travassos saved FC Barrera 2.0 from getting behind. FC Barrera 2.0's Thomás Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Carvalho in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ruy Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barrera 2.0's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruy Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cido Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruy Carvalho in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cido Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cido Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Carvalho in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerson Carvalho to make the kick off. Cido Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. FC Barrera 2.0's Thomás Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Bertassi in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Barrera 2.0's Gerson Berger got a free kick in the 59th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, João Adolfo Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C.CHUÍ's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Adolfo Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Gerson Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás Travassos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valério Xavier during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes FC Barrera 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Valério Xavier. Umberto Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomás Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Umberto Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. Gerson Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute, Edinho Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Barrera 2.0's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Adolfo Marquez was slow to take the kick. During this time S.C.CHUÍ's players had a chance to rest. João Adolfo Marquez made a great header on S.C.CHUÍ's corner, it was just that FC Barrera 2.0's Thomás Travassos managed to reach the ball for a save. FC Barrera 2.0's Ruy Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umberto Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Thomás Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Carvalho came free, but Cido Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C.CHUÍ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
