Adilson Palmeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lupere FC - DMZ's Kaká Saraiva managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leopoldo de Salles in the 8 minute of the game. When Renan Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupere FC - DMZ's protests and gave Renan Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Renan Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás Travassos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, FC Barrera 2.0's goalkeeper Thomás Travassos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renan Quirino. Renan Quirino took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomás Travassos. Thomás Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Thomás Travassos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A sloppy throw-in by Leopoldo de Salles in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lupere FC - DMZ's Matías Fontes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Quirino got free with Thomás Travassos in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renan Quirino made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the game Gerson Berger made a throw-in which Thiago de Castro played forward. Ruy Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Adilson Palmeira made a huge save. The supporters of FC Barrera 2.0 booed when Lupere FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Arne Sandell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Renan Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Quirino struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Thomás Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lupere FC - DMZ. In the 69th match minute, FC Barrera 2.0 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Mattos to maneuver through the defense. With 74 minutes on the clock, Frédson da Cunha commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Barrera 2.0 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! With a little luck, Lupere FC - DMZ's Adilson Palmeira got control of the ball when Mazinho Mattos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomás Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Quirino in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to FC Barrera 2.0 getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Leopoldo de Salles hit a great ball. FC Barrera 2.0's Thiago de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mazinho Mattos got free with Adilson Palmeira in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mazinho Mattos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adilson Palmeira came out and tried to block the shot, but Mazinho Mattos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
