Samurai Champions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Claudinho de Queiroz got a free kick in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Yuri Cearense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexsandro Netto. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 24th match minute, Red Dragon FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Samurai Champions FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mané Catarinense hit a great ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Dragon FC - DMZ reached it. José Maria Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Alex Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Teixeira was the one to do the kick off.
