In the 27th minute Rodrigo Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Benjamim Rezende rounded Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Rodrigo Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Breguete FC's Rodrigo Domingues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaldo Damião. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Velloso was the one to do the kick off. Reinaldo Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 74 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goalkeeper Jefferson Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fábio Garcia. Rodrigo Domingues got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 82 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Domingues. 83 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Trigo came free, but Jefferson Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
