In the 15th match minute, Miau Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Miau Stars's Rubinho Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 19th minute. Mina Felina hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Amauri Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percival de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percival de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Mina Felina kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Mina Felina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jano Goiano made a huge save. With 37 minutes on the clock, Eliseu Queirós commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Eliseu Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Gildo de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miau Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jano Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 41 minutes of play, Miau Stars's Mina Felina made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jano Goiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's Jano Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mina Felina in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Pontes came free, but Jano Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percival de Queirós came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's Sílvio Marques. But to his dismay, Sílvio Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Anísio Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jano Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amauri Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Percival de Queirós made a huge save. Amauri Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival de Queirós having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Anísio Pontes made a precise shot to the right of Jano Goiano. 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gildo de Andrade's late challenge caught a 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gildo de Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. Gildo de Andrade hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Ciro Miranda managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The Miau Stars support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
