Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romário Gol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Alvarenga in the 29th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Romário Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- were furious when Fernandinho Barral was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 48 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Félix came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romário Gol in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdemar Quadros saved Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Sven-Arne Sandell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Valdemar Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário Gol in the 59th minute. Valdemar Quadros made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Romário Gol sent off a good shot on target. Ulysses Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Mesquita in the 74th minute of the match. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Falcão. With a little luck, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros got control of the ball when Romário Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Lupere FC - DMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lupere FC - DMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
