With an all-out effort, Vicit FC's Diego Alves threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samuca Leão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Samurai Champions FC's Diego Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Leão in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Samurai Champions FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfredinho Tasso was slow to take the kick. During this time Vicit FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Vicit FC's corner Alfredinho Tasso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Diego Alves quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th match minute, Vicit FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tebaldo Comas to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Samurai Champions FC's Carlos Eduardo Correia got a free kick in the 19th minute. Porfiro Catalan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Diego Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Samuca Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samurai Champions FC's Diego Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Samurai Champions FC's zone, Samuca Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Alves came out of the goal and Samuca Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Samuca Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Alves was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Samuca Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Diego Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredinho Tasso lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 44 played minutes Vicit FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Tasso. When Alex Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Samurai Champions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Toledo couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tebaldo Comas made a kick off. Diego Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tebaldo Comas, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Diego Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tebaldo Comas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tebaldo Comas came free, but Diego Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 minutes, Tebaldo Comas made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Samurai Champions FC's Diego Alves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tebaldo Comas came free, but Diego Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Tony Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tebaldo Comas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tebaldo Comas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tebaldo Comas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Augusto Furtado hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tebaldo Comas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Diego Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mané Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samurai Champions FC's protests and gave Mané Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Porfiro Catalan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Tebaldo Comas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Samurai Champions FC's Diego Alves. Diego Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
