Dida Capixaba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Mineiro in the 10th minute of play forced Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Leonardo Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Red Dragon FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Claudinho de Queiroz hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Félix to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Ceresso. 28 minutes into the game, Emílio Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dida Capixaba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Emílio Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Capixaba was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of Red Dragon FC - DMZ booed when Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 42 played minutes, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Raimundo Félix shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonardo Trancoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- reached it. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Leonardo Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Velloso in the 44th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as José Maria Teixeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dida Capixaba. That made the score 3-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Luciano Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. 71 minutes into the match, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Ceresso came free, but Dida Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Félix's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Leonardo Trancoso - 4-1 was put on the score board in the 89th minute. Luiz Eduardo Lira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Gualter Tepedino got a free kick in the 94th minute. Leonardo Trancoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Félix in the 95th minute.
