Leonardo Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Cido Schmidt made a huge save. In the 32nd minute of the match Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a corner. S.C.CHUÍ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gualter Tepedino ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Sabóia during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 played minutes S.C.CHUÍ got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Sabóia. Cido Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Cruz in the 38th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Marinho. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. Cido Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Teixeira in the 51st minute of play. After some careless play in the S.C.CHUÍ defense, Claudinho de Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cido Schmidt. The S.C.CHUÍ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cido Schmidt should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute, José Maria Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cido Schmidt was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 59 minutes, Arnaldo Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C.CHUÍ and the Red Dragon FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luisão Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Trancoso having to interfere. When Gerson Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C.CHUÍ's protests and gave Gerson Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, S.C.CHUÍ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Carvalho to maneuver through the defense.
