Marcos Lopez started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Amauri Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 23 de Novembro F fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Amauri Goiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Capixaba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Dida Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Goiano in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, 23 de Novembro F's Aloísio Simão got control of the ball when Diego Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Raimundo Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 23 de Novembro F the free kick. Raimundo Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, 23 de Novembro F's José Augusto Novaes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dida Capixaba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 23 de Novembro F reached it. Dida Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Marques in the 25th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Thomás Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute of the match, Diego Velloso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aloísio Simão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Haroldo Ramalho hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. If Luiz Fábio Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Velloso to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Luiz Fábio Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- and the 23 de Novembro F players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Fábio Garcia hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 23 de Novembro F's Ciro Miranda was substituted for Ricardinho Barral. 23 de Novembro F made a substitution. Amauri Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Trigo in the 96th minute of play forced 23 de Novembro F's goalkeeper Aloísio Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching 23 de Novembro F's performance. The match ended with a win for 23 de Novembro F.
