After 6 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Botelho. After a defensive mix-up in PREZULO FC's zone, Luiz Paulo Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Reis came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 minutes, Eliseu de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PREZULO FC and the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, PREZULO FC's Eliseu de Salles got a free kick in the 11th minute. Valdemar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Valdemar Quadros came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by PREZULO FC's Ronaldo Nazário De Lima. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu de Salles came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fernando Botelho's late challenge caught a PREZULO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fernando Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Botelho hit a great ball. Valdemar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Corrêa in the 40th minute of play. After the first half PREZULO FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Augusto Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If José Augusto Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Régis de Andrade got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Samuca Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Negri in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Gaspar in the 57th minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Samuca Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game José Augusto Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PREZULO FC's Samuca Reis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, PREZULO FC's Ronaldo Nazário De Lima dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Negri in the 65th minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Samuca Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros got control of the ball when Gustavo Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samuca Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Fox to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, PREZULO FC's Renan Mota got a free kick in the 86th minute. Gustavo Tasso in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valdemar Quadros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Valdemar Quadros came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by PREZULO FC's Ronaldo Nazário De Lima. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Valdemar Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Corrêa in the 94th minute of the match. PREZULO FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
