In the 18th minute A.J. 张飞 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Luz in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the game, Gernando Paranaense landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 22nd match minute, Saiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Bati to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's A.J. 张飞 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Sabóia. Zé Sabóia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When Eliseu Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saiko FC's protests and gave Eliseu Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia got control of the ball when Michel Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Gino Antunes notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia. Zé Sabóia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Eliseu Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ booed when Saiko FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If A.J. 张飞 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Cardozo in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Saiko FC defense, Gino Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Sabóia. The Saiko FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Sabóia should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Luz in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Luz's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After 74 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Bati. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Antunes in the 80th minute of play forced Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Antunes in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Luz in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Sabóia saved Saiko FC from getting behind. Josué Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Loureiro having to interfere. 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ's Marcos Lopez was substituted for A.J. 张飞. Zé Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gino Antunes's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 23 de Novembro FC - DMZ fully deserved thier win.
