When Antônio Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Breguete FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Paulista couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Thorin SC defense, Roderick van Boxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo Tande. The Thorin SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo Tande should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugênio de Carvalho made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Thorin SC's goal looked a bit too open when Roderick van Boxel came free, but Luís Gustavo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Luís Gustavo Tande made a huge save. Antônio Paulista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Gustavo Tande came out and tried to block the shot, but Antônio Paulista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 83rd minute. Luís Gustavo Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Paulista in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Breguete FC were awarded a corner. Valdir Loureiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Breguete FC's Valdir Loureiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luís Gustavo Tande in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Paulista in the 90th minute of play forced Thorin SC's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Roderick van Boxel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Gustavo Tande. Thorin SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roderick van Boxel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. When the match was over Breguete FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Thorin SC throughout the match.
