Teresópolis F.C's Velcho Rolanski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Teresópolis F.C from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Baptista came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Viana in the 39th minute of play forced Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Viana came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gabriel Bati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
