Samuca Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Campos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.C. Paulistano - DMZ reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuca Leão to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Mazza came out of the goal and Haciqämbär Carabajal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Leão in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's Eude Teste got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Bruno Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Paulistano - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over A.C. Paulistano - DMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vicit FC throughout the match.
