Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Saiko FC from getting a goal against them. Artur Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca. But to his dismay, Eliseu Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Zé Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roderick van Boxel in the 14th minute. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saiko FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdir Loureiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Breguete FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 27th minute Roderick van Boxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eliseu Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Pernambucano was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. If Gabriel Bati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 33 in the game by Roderick van Boxel from a close distance when the talented Zé Sabóia managed to make a qualified save. Saiko FC's players were relieved. In the 34th minute Gabriel Bati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca. But to his dismay, Eliseu Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia got control of the ball when Eugênio de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roderick van Boxel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Zé Sabóia made a huge save. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Paulista in the 46th minute of play. Breguete FC's Artur Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Fonseca in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseu Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Josué Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Pernambucano. Breguete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josué Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Eliseu Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Artur Pernambucano made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Paulista came free, but Zé Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Bati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Pernambucano having to interfere. Zé Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roderick van Boxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio de Carvalho in the 68th minute of play. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roderick van Boxel in the 70th minute of play. Jairo Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Valdir Loureiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Eliseu Fonseca advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-4 in the 77th minute. In the 84th minute Gabriel Bati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, Leonel Santana made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Breguete FC's Artur Pernambucano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute, Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. In the 95th minute, Antônio Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio de Carvalho in the 96th minute of play.
