It was Sixto Ondino who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Saiko FC's Mateus Catarinense to fire away a dangerous shot which Velcho Rolanski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Fonseca in the 14th minute of play forced Teresópolis F.C's goalkeeper Velcho Rolanski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrézinho Maciel in the 15th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saiko FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sandrinho Loyola was slow to take the kick. During this time Teresópolis F.C's players had a chance to rest. In the 43rd minute of the match, Michel Shevchenko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Sabóia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Saiko FC from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Shevchenko was the one to do the kick off. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Teresópolis F.C fully deserved thier win.
