With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oğuzhan Apaydın in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davut Altınpınar saved Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- from getting behind. The supporters of Airborne FC booed when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Airborne FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oğuzhan Apaydın to make the kick off. César Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davut Altınpınar having to interfere.
