Xande Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Santos in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Márcio de Brito made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Fernando Lucas sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute Peter Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Gay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Márcio de Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zézinho Lopez in the 26th minute. İslam Tunçbilek made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Claudemiro Fragoso immediately put the ball in play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes in the game İslam Tunçbilek did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Claudemiro Fragoso. Xande Gay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 minutes, İslam Tunçbilek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Club Mavericks and the Samurai Champions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Samurai Champions FC booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. İslam Tunçbilek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amílton Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes of play, Samurai Champions FC's Peter Santos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xande Gay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hélio Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Márcio de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Mavericks. 61 minutes into the match, Hélio Nascimento notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Samurai Champions FC's Márcio de Brito. Márcio de Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xande Gay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Valentín Pascal threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sport Club Mavericks's Hélio Nascimento quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hélio Nascimento hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Xande Gay made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cido Recife sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Recife in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xande Gay saved Sport Club Mavericks from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Cido Recife's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xande Gay was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. When Samurai Champions FC's Cido Recife in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Club Mavericks's goalie prevented a goal. After 72 minutes, Cido Recife made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Samurai Champions FC's Amílton Cordeiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pavlo Kotyuk in the 76 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Samurai Champions FC defense, Claudemiro Fragoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio de Brito. The Samurai Champions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio de Brito should have stopped the shot. Xande Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Recife in the 81st minute of play. When Sport Club Mavericks's Zézinho Lopez in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Samurai Champions FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Cido Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samurai Champions FC played a much better game than Sport Club Mavericks and deserved their victory. The Sport Club Mavericks players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
