Daniel Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 17 minutes into the match, Dragões Barbudos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Furtado came free, but Daniel Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbigniew Zatorski scored 1-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute of the match Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a corner. Dragões Barbudos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Quirino ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mauro Quirino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Chaves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Dragões Barbudos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Quirino took the corner. Daniel Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbigniew Zatorski in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Chaves saved Dragões Barbudos FC from getting behind. A collision led to Dragões Barbudos FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gildo Marques hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Zbigniew Zatorski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. A collision led to Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jan Piatek hit a great ball. A collision led to Dragões Barbudos FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Thomas Semeloglou hit a great ball. Arí Furtado took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Chaves. Daniel Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. After the first half Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- made a substitution. Gabriel Peres replaced Pedro Luiz Dantas. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Ash Duxbury was substituted for Mauro Quirino. In the 98th minute, Kristofer Peck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
