The throw-in from Luiz Capixaba in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Sílvio Luiz de Godoi. Xande Gay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velin Golubarev in the 6th minute of the match. Vidmantas Ubartas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xande Gay having to interfere. Zé Carlos Vaz took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xande Gay. Xande Gay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vidmantas Ubartas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xande Gay having to make a save. Sport Club Mavericks's attentive Timmy Zander managed to snatch the ball when Jerônimo Moreira made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Perivaldo Loyola in the 25th minute. The corner ended in Jerônimo Moreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudemiro Fragoso got free with Gino Tonić in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velin Golubarev in the 29th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Gino Tonić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Fragoso in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Moreira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sport Club Mavericks's Timmy Zander quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-! Gino Tonić had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Sílvio Luiz de Godoi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Claudemiro Fragoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gino Tonić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Vidmantas Ubartas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Gay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Zézinho Lopez made the kick off in the second half. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Loyola in the 50th minute of play. After 51 minutes Sport Club Mavericks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Perivaldo Loyola who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Perivaldo Loyola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xande Gay quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luiz Capixaba made in the 54th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zé Carlos Vaz however managed to control. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Vaz in the 55th minute of play. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club Mavericks from getting a goal against them. Velin Golubarev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xande Gay came out and tried to block the shot, but Velin Golubarev slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 61st minute. Sport Club Mavericks's Emerson Tande was substituted for Fernando Lucas. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Loyola in the 65th minute of play. Xande Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Loyola in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velin Golubarev in the 68th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Tonić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudemiro Fragoso in the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Zé Carlos Vaz hit a great ball. When Sport Club Mavericks's Claudemiro Fragoso in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Loyola in the 83rd minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velin Golubarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
