The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cido Recife was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Samurai Champions FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Márcio de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Cido Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xande Gay having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cido Recife. İslam Tunçbilek hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cido Recife made the kick off in the second half. Sport Club Mavericks's Emerson Tande was substituted for Fernando Lucas. A sloppy throw-in by İslam Tunçbilek in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Samurai Champions FC's Șerban Bărbânță. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alejandro Adrio hit a great ball. A collision led to Samurai Champions FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Amílton Cordeiro hit a great ball. Xande Gay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Franklin do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xande Gay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin do Nascimento in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Márcio de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Tande. Xande Gay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franklin do Nascimento went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Samurai Champions FC's Adrianinho Leme managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Timmy Zander in the 83 minute of the game. Márcio de Brito came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club Mavericks's Zézinho Lopez. But to his dismay, Zézinho Lopez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Adrianinho Leme got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Adrianinho Leme. After 90 played minutes Samurai Champions FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Leme. Hélio Nascimento's late challenge caught a Samurai Champions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélio Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
