In the 8th minute, Felipe Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 11th minute when Viriato Moura elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Benito Lluterio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalatakaya F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Lluterio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Faustino Almeida in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kalatakaya F.C.'s Helmut Gutiérrez. 23 minutes into the match, Kalatakaya F.C.'s Benito Lluterio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tonete Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. The Kalatakaya F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Kalatakaya F.C.'s Benito Lluterio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Kalatakaya F.C.'s Benito Lluterio. But to his dismay, Benito Lluterio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 40th minute of the game Luis Cristaldo made a throw-in which Benito Lluterio played forward. If Rodolfo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Caetano to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Amorim acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alejandro Chumacero. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. Recep Guftar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Galarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Galarza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Kalatakaya F.C. from getting a goal against them. Luis Galarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 65th minute of play forced Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Lluterio in the 66th minute of play. If Alejandro Chumacero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Antonello Da Messina was substituted for Luis Cristaldo. Kalatakaya F.C. made a substitution. Moises Kelemen replaced Aaron Gauargi. Felipinho Amorim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Luis Galarza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 74th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Galarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Felipinho Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luis Galarza. Felipinho Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Galarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Almeida in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Bartolomeu Dias heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 89 minutes into the match, Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. Luis Galarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 95th minute of the match. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kalatakaya F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Pimentel was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Benito Lluterio kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Kalatakaya F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Portugal's performance. The match ended with a win for Portugal.
